Economic Development District

The Eastern U.P. Regional Planning and Development Commission is the designated Economic Development District for the Eastern Upper Peninsula. One of the functions of the district is to prepare and maintain a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). Included in the CEDS are updated demographics and labor statistics, regional development goals and objectives as prepared by the Regional CEDS Strategy Committee, representing Chippewa, Luce and Mackinac Counties. The CEDS report also contains a list of priority projects for the Region, as well as listings of projects funded and/or completed.
