A meeting of the Mackinac County Rural Task Force has been scheduled to be held on Monday, September 30, 2024. The meeting will be held at 3:00 PM at the Mackinac County Road Commission Office, 706 N. State Street, St. Ignace, Michigan. The purpose of this meeting is to review the Mackinac County Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) and add potential projects to the illustrative list of the RTF #11 TIP for Fiscal Years 2026-2029.
Transportation projects eligible for funding include transit capital projects and road/bridge construction on roads classified as rural minor collectors or higher.
The Mackinac County Rural Task Force is made up of a representative from the Mackinac County Road Commission, a representative from transit agencies, and a representative of cities or villages with a population less than 5,000.
