The Soo Township Board has approved the distribution of the draft update to the Soo Township Master Plan. In accordance with the Michigan Planning Enabling Act, Public Act 33 of 2008, MCL 125.3841, as amended, this document is available for review on the EUP Regional Planning and Development Commission’s website Soo Township MP_Draft, as well a hard copy is also available at the EUP Regional Planning Office, located at 2345 Meridian St., from 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday, this document is will be available for review and comment for a 63-day period that ends on October 11, 2023. You may also request a copy be sent to you via email, please send your request to staff@eup-planning.org, with a subject line of Soo Twp Master Plan Request.
All local governments, other entities receiving a copy of the proposed plan and the general public have up to 63 days from date of notice (August 8, 2023 through October 11, 2023) to review the amendment. A Public Hearing on the Plan Amendment will take place at the Soo Township Planning Commission meeting, Thursday, November 9th, 2023 at the Soo Township Hall at 7:00 PM.
