Hudson Township, in Mackinac County, is home to the unincorporated communities of Garnet and Rexton. The township covers 69.5 square miles, much of which is state-owned forest lands and accessible by ORV and snowmobile trails. Locals and visitors take advantage of the township’s beautiful position on Lake Michigan at the Hog Island Point State Forest Campground. They also get back to nature at the Garnet Lake State Forest Campground. With its forested acreage and its Great Lakes shoreline, Hudson Township beautifully illustrates the beautiful, natural setting that is iconic of the Upper Peninsula.
